Big-scorpion looks, none of the hot-keeper drama Nebo whitei, the Whitei Scorpion, is a heavy-bodied desert scorpion out of the Arabian Peninsula: stocky, dark, broad-clawed, and built like it means business. It looks imposing enough to stop a room, but this is a non-buthid with reduced venom, so the menace is all show. Even at 1 to 2 inches now, you can see the bulk and presence coming. This is an uncommon import you do not run into often. Here is the honest part: it is a display animal first, big-scorpion size and attitude without the medical baggage. It stays surprisingly chill, which makes it a great step up for a keeper leaving basic beginner desert species behind. It is still venomous and still no hand-walking, but it is forgiving, and it thrives in a dry, rocky build with tight crevices to wedge into.
