Dwarf White Isopods 10 Count (Trichorhina tomentosa) - 10 Count (Mixed Sizes, Unsexed) CB

Trichorhina tomentosa (Dwarf White Isopod / Dwarf White) The cleanup crew the whole hobby runs on. Dwarf Whites live down in the substrate where the mess is, eating leftover cricket parts, frass and rotting plant matter and helping keep mold in check before any of it turns into a mite or fungus problem. Every one of them is female and every one of them breeds, so there is no sexing, no pairing and no waiting on a male: ten go in, a self-running colony comes out. You will barely ever see them, and that is the point, because your tarantula, scorpion or frog gets a cleaner home while you do less maintenance. Grab a few ten-counts today and put a crew on cleanup duty in every humid enclosure on your shelf. Why do hobbyists keep Trichorhina tomentosa? • The OG Cleanup Crew: the go-to isopod for bioactive enclosures. They break waste and leftovers down into healthy soil, around the clock. • All-Female Colony: a parthenogenetic species, so every isopod in the box can build a colony on its own. Ten in, hundreds out. • Invisible Janitors: at 1/8 to 1/4 inch they stay down in the substrate and out of sight, so your animal stays the star of the show. • Bioactive Made Easy: the simplest way to turn a tropical tarantula, scorpion, centipede, millipede or dart frog setup into a living, self-cleaning enclosure. Dart frogs eat them too. How should Trichorhina tomentosa be kept? • Adult Size: 1/8 to 1/4 inch. Pinhead-small and bright white. This listing: 10 Count (Mixed Sizes, Unsexed) CB. Spice 1: Kid Safe.
