Philippine Tangerine Tarantula (Selenobrachys philippinus) - 0.75" (Sling)

The tarantula that moves in rather than digs in. Selenobrachys philippinus, the Philippine Tangerine, got its name back in 2025 after years filed under another genus, and the field record that came with it is the useful part. Where most fossorial tarantulas excavate, this one was found occupying voids that were already there: gaps under boulders and cracks in the slope, on mountain ground near streams on Negros. Those are the species records rather than a claim about where these particular animals came from. Big Z's does not put a locality on a listing it cannot back. These arrived at 0.75 inches.
