Slender and pale, just 2 to 3 inches long, this desert specialist does what almost no other scorpion can: it climbs smooth surfaces effortlessly and hangs upside-down like gravity is optional. Slide a UV light over it and the whole animal lights up like a length of fluorescent tubing, glowing cold and bright in the dark.
