Blaze orange, wall-to-wall silk, and the fastest temper in the hobby. Pterinochilus murinus in the Usambara orange form is the spider the hobby nicknamed the OBT, and the colour is not an exaggeration: a grown one is a burnt-orange starburst with the carapace pattern radiating out from the centre. It comes out of East Africa, and at 1 inch these are slings already laying down silk faster than they can outgrow it. Adults reach roughly 5 to 6 inches across and get there quickly.
